CPK587W VOL=vvvvvv RECOVERY BYPASSED DUE TO reason<br />
Reason: A Fast COMPAKTion (CPK TYPE=FASTCPK) run on disk volume “vvvvvv” (see<br />
message CPK586W) did not complete. This Fast COMPAKTion job attempted to<br />
recover from the failure but the recovery was unsuccessful for the reason indicated.<br />
Action: The volume is not in a usable state. Many data sets may be unusable. Contact<br />
INNOVATION DATA PROCESSING if you cannot correct the error.<br />

program TERMINATED ABNORMALLY WITH COMP CODE Ssss Uuuuu<br />
A COMPAKTOR subtask abnormally terminated with either a system ABEND code “sss” (in<br />
HEX), or a user ABEND code “uuuu” (in decimal). “program” is <strong>FDR</strong> for an <strong>FDR</strong> full-volume<br />
backup (DUMP=YES) or <strong>FDR</strong>RESTR for the actual modification of the volume.<br />
For SYSTEM ABENDs, refer to the appropriate IBM System Codes Manual. For user<br />
ABENDs, look it up in Section 100.8 “ABEND Codes”. If the module is <strong>FDR</strong>, no changes<br />
were made to the volume, but if it is <strong>FDR</strong>RESTR and message CPK321I was printed<br />
without CPK403E the volume may be unusable. If possible, correct the error and rerun.<br />

CPK600In COMPAKTOR status type RUN -- VOL=vvvvvv<br />
Reason: Informs you of the status of the run. “type” is the type of run: MAPPING, SIMULATION,<br />
RELEASE, or COMPAKTION. “status” is SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED or<br />
COMPLETED WITH ERRORS; in the latter case, some warning messages were<br />
issued but the COMPAKTion was able to complete. “n” is an internal code indicating<br />
the volume reorganization algorithm was used to position the data sets.<br />
CPK601I RESTORED DEVICE IS UNIT=uuuu,VOLSER=vvvvvv,DEVTYPE=ddddddd<br />
Reason: Identifies the COMPAKTed volume if an output disk was modified.<br />
CPK602A SERIOUS ERROR(S) DETECTED. COMPAKTOR ABENDING<br />
Reason: One or more previous error messages were issued and COMPAKTOR terminates<br />
abnormally.<br />
Action: See the Action for the other error messages.<br />
CPK603A COMPAKTOR RESTORE CANCELLED reason<br />
Reason: The COMPAKTion of the current volume was bypassed because:<br />
SYSTEM RESIDENCE VOLUME – You cannot COMPAKT the current SYSRES<br />
(IPL volume).<br />
BY CONSOLE OPERATOR – The operator replied “NO” to the <strong>FDR</strong>W80 WTOR<br />
message.<br />
CPK604W<br />
Reason:<br />
COMPAKTOR OPERATION TERMINATED BY CANCEL COMMAND -- REMAINING<br />
VOLUMES BYPASSED<br />
The operator attempted to cancel the COMPAKTOR job and it was intercepted by<br />
COMPAKTOR CANCEL protection. The operator then replied “S” to the <strong>FDR</strong>W99<br />
message, causing COMPAKTOR to terminate after completing processing on the<br />
current volume. If more volumes were to be processed in the step, they are bypassed.<br />
CPK605W COMPAKTOR ABENDING DUE TO EXCEEDING MAXIO<br />
Reason: COMPAKTOR terminates due to exceeding MAXIO.<br />
CPK606E SNAPSHOT REQUEST ERROR - reason<br />
Reason: FAST COMPAKTOR was executed with SNAPSHOT=YES, but an error occurred while<br />
using SnapShot on an IBM RVA or Oracle StorageTek disk. “reason” details the error.<br />
Action: Contact INNOVATION DATA PROCESSING Technical Support.<br />
