Figure 13.2: Server Authentication 13.1.1.3 Deploying the Server Certificate on 4135 IP Conference Phone This feature provides the facility to export the server certificate (default certificate up to R8.2, generated certificate as of R9.0) from OmniPCX Office to a PC. This certificate must then be uploaded to 4135 IP Conference Phone sets for server authentication. To export the server certificate: 1. Go to OMC (<strong>Expert</strong> View) 2. Select: Import/Export -> Export Server Certificate 3. Click the browse button 13-2
4. Select the appropriate path to save the server certificate. To facilitate further configuration, download this file to a USB key 5. Click the OK button As of R9.0, for server authentication, the server certificate must be installed in the 4135 IP Conference Phone through its configuration web page, with the button root certificate. 13.1.1.4 Deploying the Server Certificate for My IC Web for Office The My IC Web for Office application connects to the PCX through HTTPS, from the LAN or WAN. For server authentication, the generated certificate must be installed for the web browser running My IC Web for Office to enable HTTPS connection. Certificate installation is performed when connecting to the PCX for the first time. A warning message invites to accept the generated certificate received from the PCX as trusted certificate. The certificate is saved in the web browser certificate store. This certificate can also be retrieved from the PCX through a security web page: http:///cert.html. Notes: - The URL used on WAN is https://routerexternalname[:port]/services/MyICOffice/ - The URL used on LAN is: • Up to R8.2,https://:10443/services/MyICOffice/ • As of R9.0, https:///services/MyICOffice 13.1.1.5 Deploying the Server Certificate for My IC Mobile for iPhone The My IC Mobile for iPhone application connects to the PCX through HTTPS, from the WAN (using 3G/3G+) or the LAN (WIFI). For server authentication, the generated certificate must be installed in the My IC Mobile for iPhone application to enable HTTPS connection. Certificate installation is performed at application startup, when connecting to the PCX for the first time. A warning message invites to accept the generated certificate received from the PCX as trusted certificate. The certificate is saved in the iPhone keychain store. This certificate can also be retrieved from the PCX through a security web page: http:///cert.html. After a migration from R8.1 to R8.2, warning messages are displayed when connecting to the PCX. To stop the display of warning messages, change the URL in configuration file for LAN (https://:10443/) and accept the generated certificate if it differs from the one registered by the iPhone. Once the certificate has been installed, connection to the PCX from the WAN does not trigger any warning messages. It is not necessary to change the URL for PCX access from the WAN. After a migration from R8.2 to R9.0, warning messages are displayed when connecting to the PCX. To stop the display of warning messages, change the URL in the configuration file for LAN (https:///DM/) and accept the generated certificate if it differs from the one registered by the iPhone.
