Paging type<br />

Paging can be by prefix or by suffix.<br />

Paging by prefix: the internal dialing plan must have 2 codes: one for the "Prefix Paging<br />

Activation" function and one for the "Paging Answer Selective" function.<br />

Paging by suffix: a "paging answer general " code is added to the internal dialing plan and a<br />

"suffix paging activation" code is added to the features plan.<br />

3.20.1.1 Overview<br />

Alternative CLIP/COLP number allows to send a specific CLIP/COLP number instead of the<br />

usual CLIP/COLP number. The typical CLIP/COLP number is a concatenation of the<br />

installation (system) number and DDI set (extension) number.<br />

There are several types of alternative numbers:<br />

- Alternative system CLIP number<br />

- Alternative user CLIP/COLP number<br />

- Alternative access CLIP/COLP number<br />

Definitions:<br />

- CLIP (Calling Line Identification Presentation): identification number sent by the caller<br />
