10.2 Installation and Startup<br />

10.2.1 Overview<br />

10.2.1.1 Overview of the Configuration Procedure<br />

Alcatel OmniTouch Call Center Office is supplied as pre-installed. The licenses must be<br />

loaded in the PCX before the configuration.<br />

The applications Supervisor Console, Statistic Manager, and Agent Assistant can be<br />

installed on any PC.<br />

The Alcatel OmniTouch Call Center Office is configured using OMC. Open an OMC session<br />

via the path OMC/PCX Client/Call Distribution Services, to access the following four menus:<br />

- ACD Setup: used to configure the parameters of the ACD in the PCX.<br />

- ACD-SCR Services: used to configure the ACD groups, agents, and lines.<br />

- ACD Voice messages: used to configure the ACD announcements.<br />

- ACD Statistic manager: this menu is only accessible if installed.<br />

Configuring the ACD involves the following operations:<br />

Caution 1:<br />

Check the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Office Communication Server settings described in the<br />

Prerequisites section before running ACD Setup.<br />

1. Configure the ACD parameters in the PCX using ACD Setup:<br />

• Check prefixes in the main numbering plan for login and logout.<br />

• Create ACD Group mailboxes.<br />

• Generate ACD profiles.<br />

• Assign profiles to agent and supervisor phone sets.<br />

2. Configure ACD-SCR Services:<br />
