When the buffer memory is full, any new information is lost.<br />

XON/XOFF TRANSMISSION PROTOCOL<br />

Note 7:<br />

Available for V24 printing only.<br />

When the printer is ready to print, it transmits an XON control character. The data received is<br />

stored in a buffer. If there are only a certain number of bytes available in this buffer, the printer<br />

will transmit XOFF. It continues to receive characters and print before transmission halt. When<br />

part of the buffer is released, it transmits XON. The printer also transmits XOFF in the event of<br />

the following problems: printer offline, no more paper, paper jam, etc.. It transmits XON when<br />

these problems have been resolved.<br />

Note 8:<br />

The printer DTR signal is connected to the interface CTS signal if XON is not received.<br />

Each statement corresponds to a call (16 fields maximum, separated by a space.)<br />

Definition parameters for a statement<br />

- Language for the printout<br />

By OMC (<strong>Expert</strong> View), select: Counting -> Counting -> Accounting Printout -> Language<br />

- Company name: max. 16 characters<br />

By OMC (<strong>Expert</strong> View), select: Counting -> Counting -> Accounting Printout -> Company<br />

name<br />

- Masking the last 4 digits of the dialed number<br />

By OMC (<strong>Expert</strong> View), select: Counting -> Counting -> Accounting Printout -> check or<br />

uncheck Masking of 4 last digits<br />

- Maximum number of statements per page: 1 to 99 (by default, 50)<br />

By OMC (<strong>Expert</strong> View), select: Counting -> Counting -> Accounting Printout -> Proofs<br />

per page<br />

- Form feed at the end of the day: yes/no (by default, no)<br />

By OMC (<strong>Expert</strong> View), select: Counting -> Counting -> Accounting Printout -> check or<br />

uncheck Form feed permitted<br />
