Explore the medieval towns, sparkling lakes
and beautiful mountain scenery of Carinthia by road, boat and train.
Suggested programme:
Day 1:
Arrive at your hotel, your home for the next 5 nights.
Day 2
After a lazy breakfast depart for Klagenfurt, the capital of Carinthia,
where you will meet your city guide for an introduction to the sights
and highlights of the city before having free time to explore on your
own. In the afternoon return to your hotel for your evening meal.
Day 3:
Your day starts with a visit to the "Small Historical Town" of Spittal
an der Drau. We suggest having a guided city tour before continuing
your day with a trip along the Malta valley, known as the "valley
of cascading waters". On the way back why not visit Gmund, one
of the best kept medieval small towns in the south of Austria?
Day 4:
Today you are free to explore your surroundings on your own.
Day 5:
Start your day with a wonderful boat trip on Lake Millstatt. Afterwards
we recommend taking a trip up the Reisseck Alpine Railway.
From the Schoberboden mountain station you can continue
on by taking the Reisseck mountain train, Europe’s highest narrow
gauge railway, to about 2,200 m above sea level. We recommend
some free time in Heiligenblut before returning to your hotel.

Discover rolling hills and picturesque lakes in Austria, Italy & Slovenia.
Relax by a lakeside or visit ancient castles and picturesque mountain
ranges.
Suggested programme:
Day 1:
Arrive at your hotel in Carinthia, your home for the next 5 nights.
Day 2:
Your morning starts with a trip to the nearby town of Villach for
a guided tour. In the afternoon we recommend a trip along the
Villach Alpine road to Möltschach and the Dobratsch Mountain
(1732m) for fantastic panoramic views of the city of Villach, the Julian
Alps and the prominent south face of the Dobratsch Mountain.
Day 3:
After breakfast, we recommend a visit across the border to the
neighbouring country of Slovenia and its dynamic capital, Ljubljana.
You will be met on arrival by your city guide who will introduce
you to some of the many interesting highlights of this city, before
you have some free time to explore on your own.
Day 4:
Take your time today to explore the surrounding villages on your own.
Day 5:
Today is a day of contrasts when you visit 3 different countries (Austria,
Italy and Slovenia). Your first stop will be the Italian border town
of Tarvisio for some free time. You then continue on, via Planica,
home to one of the largest ski jumps in the world, to Bled, one of
the most beautiful alpine resorts. After some free time in you return
over the Wurzenpass to Austria.
