A parade of flowers, traditional dress, music and a party – enjoy
the Kitzbühel Alps and the village of Kirchberg at their best!
Suggested programme:
Day 1:
Arrive at your hotel in the Kitzbühel Alps region, your home for the
next 2 nights.
Day 2:
After a leisurely breakfast, travel to the village of Kirchberg. En-route
we suggest a stop at a local schnapps distillery to discover one
of Austria’s favourite drinks and enjoy a short tour and a tasting
before continuing your journey. Every year on the 15 th of August,
the friendly village of Kirchberg, a popular winter and summer resort,
comes alive with a river of flowers and fun. The pedestrian
zone in the centre of the village becomes the meeting point for
everyone as live bands and stalls provide entertainment as well
as food and drink. The highlight of the day is at approx. 3.00 pm
when nearly 30 hotels, clubs and associations parade through the
village with their "flower sculptures" with over 500,000 flowers.
Every year there is something different and the festivities in the
village go on into the evening when the summer night party starts.
Day 3:
Extend your stay, combine with another tour or departure.
TIP: On the way to Kirchberg why not enjoy a ride up one of the
many cable cars in the region? A journey to the top of the mountains
is always a breath-taking experience.

Day 2:
"Almabtrieb": this farmer’s market and traditional cattle parade
held in the autumn, is rich in tradition and is a great village fair
throughout the Tyrol. The cows are dressed up and paraded to
celebrate their safe return from the summer mountain pastures.
Day 3:
Today you can relax in your resort, or why not visit one of Tyrol’s
popular regions such as the Kitzbühel Alps or Lake Achensee?
Day 4:
A traditional Tyrol excursion is planned for today, starting with a
visit to the oldest copper distillery of the region, located in Brixen,
you then travel to the high mountain plateau, the Wildschönau, for
a visit to the traditional farmhouse museum. To end the day we
suggest a visit to the smallest town in Tyrol, Rattenberg.
Day 5:
Day trip to Salzburg or Innsbruck – you can choose. Visit the
"Sound of Music city" Salzburg or the three times Olympic city
and capital of the Tyrol, Innsbruck. Either way enhance your visit
with a guided city tour.
