Day 1:
Arrive at your hotel in the Mariazell area, your home for the next
4 nights.
Day 2:
After breakfast, meet your guide for a tour of Mariazell. See some
of the highlights of the town before discovering some of Mariazells
traditions, such as gingerbread baking, the making of the Mariazeller
liqueur, or the world of the Pharmacist. You then have free
time to explore and relax at your own pace.
Day 3:
Today travel to the town of Leoben and enjoy a walk through the
old town with a city guide before having some free time to explore
on your own. Don’t miss the Göss Abbey, the oldest Abbey in Styria
as well as the Mushroom tower with its weapon collection. Also
worth a visit is the Voestalpine World of Steel. In the afternoon
discover the world of Gösser beer during a visit to the brewery and
museum and enjoy a tasting and light snack.
Day 4:
Travel through the picturesque countryside of Styria to the town
of Mürzzuschlag, home of the "Südbahn" Museum, giving you the
history of the famous Semmering train, as well as the Brahms
Museum where you can enjoy a musical walk through several of
Brahms compositions. Also worth a visit are the Art house and the
Winter sports museum. Continue your day with a visit to the winter
and summer resort of Semmering for a walk in the fresh air or a
ride up the "Zau[;ber;]g Semmering".
Day 5:
Depart homeward.

Day 2:
After breakfast, join your guide for a tour of the city of Graz, with
its major sights, including the Clock Tower, the Landhaus and the
Opera House. In the afternoon, you are free to explore the city on
your own.
Day 3:
Go on a culinary journey through rolling hills, lush green vineyards
and flowering orchards in the Styrian Volcano area, also known
as the "land of plenty". Begin with a visit to the Zotter chocolate
factory., where the numerous types of chocolate and edible zoo
will be a sweet temptation. Then on to the highly visible old Riegersburg
Castle, an imposing castle that has never been captured.
After lunch, continue to the Gölles Distillery, which specialises
in the making of fine vinegars and noble spirits.
Day 4:
In the morning travel to the heart of Styria and get to know the
world of the miners in the underground labyrinth of the Erzberg. In
the afternoon visit one of the oldest breweries in Styria where you
can see historical rarities and experience the latest technology.
Enjoy a guided tour of the brewery and the museum before receiving
a tasting of freshly tapped Gösser beer.
