Austria Multicentred Tours GROUP TRAVEL<br />
Tour of Discovery in Western Austria<br />
The west of Austria has a lot to offer, therefore we recommend a<br />
journey through the picturesque landscapes of Vorarlberg and the<br />
West Tyrol to get to know some of the highlights.<br />
Suggested programme<br />
Day 1:<br />
Arrive in your hotel and check-in. In the evening, after sunset, enjoy<br />
a tour of Feldkirch with the Night Watchman on his nightly tour<br />
of the old town. Listen to the stories and happenings of the town<br />
as you walk along the streets and lanes. Should you wish, we can<br />
arrange an evening meal as part of the tour.<br />
Day 2:<br />
After breakfast, make your way to the Bregenz Forest Region<br />
and the village of Bezau. Here you join the Bregenz Forest steam<br />
train for a ride through the picturesque landscape along the Bregenz<br />
River, to the Schwarzenberg train station. In Andelsbuch,<br />
about 5kms away, the Bregenz Cheese House is awaiting you.<br />
Here you can look over the shoulder of the Alpine dairyman going<br />
about his business. Naturally, you get the chance to taste some<br />
of the products! A lunch of "Käsespätzle" will be served in the<br />
Cheese House before you travel to Egg/Großdorf and the Bentele<br />
Schnapps distillery and beekeepers. Enjoy a guided tour and a<br />
schnapps before heading back to your hotel. (The Bregenz Forest<br />
Steam Train only travels on Saturday and Sunday, and from mid-<br />
July to the end of August also on Thursdays)<br />
Day 3:<br />
Late morning start your journey to Bludenz for a visit to the Fohrenburger<br />
Brewery. With interesting short films you will be taken<br />
on a journey through the different processes of the art of brewing,<br />
how it is brewed and what is needed to brew an excellent beer.<br />

A tasting is naturally not to be<br />
missed. You then have time for<br />
a small snack before visiting the<br />
Schattenburg with its historical<br />
museum and pieces of art. In the<br />
evening, enjoy a trip with the Karren<br />
cable car where you can enjoy<br />
your evening meal with a panoramic<br />
view of the surrounding<br />

Day 4:<br />
Today you travel over the Silvretta<br />
high alpine road, one of the most<br />
picturesque, and also one of the<br />
top Panorama Alpine Roads, to<br />
Galtür in the Paznaun Valley. In<br />
Galtür you can enjoy a visit to the<br />
Mountain mining museum "Alpinarium"<br />
before taking a short walk<br />
through the Schaller Gorge in See,<br />
where a well-planned path takes<br />
you past 4 breath taking waterfalls.<br />
Enjoy the cascading water<br />
and recharge your batteries before continuing on to your hotel.<br />

Day 5:<br />
In the morning, we recommend a visit to the Ötzi Village in Umhausen<br />
where you can trace the tracks of Ötzi, how he lived for 5,000<br />
years and what village life was like all those centuries ago. In the<br />
afternoon travel to the Pitz Valley Glacier (opens beg. July) or the<br />
Kauner Valley Glacier (open<br />

view with a spectacular mountain backdrop while having lunch<br />
