Experience the Blue Danube<br />
The Blue Danube is possibly one of the most famous European<br />
Rivers and with good reason. During this trip you will get to see<br />
some of the most picturesque parts of Austria from the river while<br />
enjoying a coffee and cake and a wine tasting. Discover the<br />
Wachau valley and the town of Dürnstein where King Richard the<br />
Lionheart was held prisoner, visit the Czech Republic and the impressive<br />
town of Cseky Krumlov and don’t miss the town of three<br />
rivers, Passau.<br />

Day 1:<br />
Arrive in your Hotel, your home for the next 5 nights.<br />
Day 2:<br />
After a relaxing breakfast travel to Linz where you will be met<br />
by your city guide who will take you on a journey of discovery<br />
through the town. The city is an attractive destination where the<br />
past, present and future are combined and your guide will introduce<br />
you to the highlights and secrets of the city before you have<br />
free time to explore further on you own. Why not enjoy a coffee<br />
and cake at the Café "Glockenspiel" a Viennese coffee house in<br />
one of the oldest patrician houses on the Linzer main square or<br />
take a ride up the Postling hill on the train for some spectacular<br />
views over the city.<br />
Day 3:<br />
Today you enjoy the first of two river cruises. Start the day by travelling<br />
to Passau, just over the border in Germany, and the meeting<br />
point of three rivers, the Danube, Inn and Ilz. Passau is located<br />
on the German, Austrian border and was a part of the Roman<br />

where you board your ship for a cruise to Linz while enjoying some<br />

Day 4:<br />
Enjoy a relaxing breakfast before travelling to the Wachau region of<br />
Austria and the town of Dürnstein. The Wachau is one of Europe’s<br />
loveliest river landscapes, and situated in the heart of the valley on<br />
the banks of the Danube River you can find the town of Dürnstein.<br />
Dürnstein castle, overlooking the town, is where King Richard the<br />
Lionheart was supposedly held prisoner for a short time. After<br />
some free time to explore, you continue on to the historic town<br />
of Krems, where you will have some time to explore the historical<br />
centre of the town before boarding your ship for a picturesque<br />
cruise to Melk. During your sail you can enjoy a wine tasting as<br />
well as the spectacular scenery.<br />
Day 5:<br />
You cross the border today into the Czech Republic and the town<br />
of Cesky Krumlov, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage<br />
Site in 1992 and is classed as one of the most beautiful and best<br />
preserved towns in the Czech Republic. The town experienced<br />
its greatest prosperity during the years 1302-1602 when it lay on<br />
the crossroads between the Czech Republic, Austria, Bavaria and<br />
Northern Italy. Now a lively cosmopolitan town with a unique atmosphere,<br />
it is still dominated by its castle and nestled in unspoiled<br />
countryside. Why not make the most of your visit with a guided<br />
tour through the streets and narrow lanes of the town?<br />
