The Green Roof of<br />
Europe<br />
The green roof of Europe can be<br />
found in the region between the<br />
Danube and Vltava Rivers and is<br />
one of the largest forested areas<br />
of Europe. In the Sumava National<br />
Park and the Bavarian Forest<br />
National Park, you will discover<br />
deep, rustling forests, lakes, green<br />
horizons, fresh air and starry skies,<br />
wild animals and unique plants.<br />

Day 2:<br />
After breakfast start your day of discovery with a guided tour of<br />
Linz followed by a visit to the World of Voestalpine where you can<br />
discover all there is to know about Steel. We recommend having<br />
lunch in the centre of Linz before enjoying a boat trip around the<br />
harbour of Linz.<br />
Day 3:<br />
Enjoy a stroll along the treetop walkway on Kramolin hill today.<br />
During your walk, you can enjoy wonderful panoramic views of<br />
Southern Bohemia. After a relaxing lunch in Cesky Krumlov you will<br />
be met by your city guide who will introduce you to some of the<br />
highlights of the old town. You then travel to your hotel in the region<br />
of Kasperske Hory, a charming small town in the Bohemian Forest.<br />
Day 4:<br />
Your day starts with a visit to Kasperk Fortress before you continue<br />
on to Zwiesel in Bavaria. Zwiesel is the home of crystal glass<br />
and a visit to one of the factories is included in the programme.<br />
Your overnight accommodation will be in the region of Zwiesel.<br />
Day 5:<br />
Before starting on your homeward journey, we recommend a visit<br />
to the Lusen bei Neuschönau National Park. On the treetop walkway,<br />
you can once again enjoy some wonderful panoramic views.<br />

The Region of the Danube &<br />
Vltava Rivers<br />
Weltenburg Abbey<br />
The Benedictine abbey of Weltenburg is the oldest monastery in<br />
Bavaria and was founded around 600 AD. by the monks of St.<br />
Columbanus. It is located near the entrance to the scenic Danube<br />
gorge, on the northern slopes of the Arzberg Mountain, near the<br />
site of the ancient Celtic settlement of Artobriga.<br />
Trebic UNESCO World Heritage Czech Republic<br />
The ensemble of the Jewish Quarter, the old Jewish cemetery and<br />
the Basilica of St Procopius in Třebíč are reminders of the co-existence<br />
of Jewish and Christian cultures from the middle ages to the<br />
20 th century. The Jewish Quarter bears outstanding testimony to<br />
the different aspects of the life of this community. St Procopius'<br />
Basilica, built as part of the Benedictine monastery in the early<br />
13 th century, is a remarkable example of the influence of Western<br />
European architectural heritage in this region.<br />
Telc UNESCO World Heritage Czech Republic<br />
The houses in Telc, which stand on a hilltop, were originally built<br />
of wood. After a fire in the late 14 th century, the town was rebuilt in<br />
stone, surrounded by a wall and fortified by a network of artificial<br />
ponds. The town's Gothic castle was reconstructed in High Gothic<br />
style in the late 15 th century.<br />

The Bavarian State Exhibition in <strong>2016</strong>, "Beer in Bavaria", is all<br />
