Suggested programme:<br />
Day 1:<br />
Arrival in Tirana.<br />
Day 2:<br />
Discover the capital of Albania and some of its highlights such as<br />
Tabaken's old bridge, the National Heroes Boulevard and Mother<br />
Teresa square. Also worth a visit is the house of Leafs, infamous<br />
for its spying function during the communist times. Relax in the<br />
afternoon on Durresi beach and enjoy a beautiful sunset.<br />
Day 3:<br />
After breakfast, travel to Apollonia and Vlora Historical town. The<br />
archaeological site dates back to 2500 years ago when the region<br />
had good connections to the Roman Empire. You then continue to<br />
the beautiful beach town of Vlora.<br />
Day 4:<br />
Start the day early and travel to Prishtina (Kosovo). During the journey,<br />
you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of the high mountains<br />
while driving on a highway that snakes alongside the Mat River.<br />
Prishtina is the capital of Kosovo and is a lively city that has undergone<br />
a great deal of development and many hardships during last<br />
few decades.<br />
Day 5:<br />
Visit Prizren today, a town as old as the Roman Empire itself. This<br />
is a town of welcoming people and is rich in tradition. Continue<br />
your journey to Kruja city enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery<br />
on your way.<br />

Day 8:<br />
Enjoy a relaxing afternoon on<br />
Ksamil beach, on the shores of<br />
the Ionia Sea, after your trip to<br />
Saranda city and Butrinti archaeological<br />
park. A visit to Butriniti<br />
Park will take you through the<br />
steps of how this southern region<br />
of Albania evolved from being a<br />
Byzantine empire through the Ottoman<br />
Empire to modern times.<br />

Day 9:<br />
We suggest a short walk through<br />
a traditional bazaar inside the old<br />
town of Gjirokastra. Visit Gjirokastra<br />
castle and the Army Museum<br />
before you walk to the replica<br />
birth house of ex-dictator of Albania<br />
“Enver Hoxha”. After that continue<br />
through Albania's Southern mountains to Korca and its historic<br />
town. Enjoy the scenery and the fresh air of the mountains.<br />
Day 10:<br />
Start the day with a traditional Albanian breakfast. In Korca you<br />
can visit the ABC museum, the Orthodox cathedral and the famous<br />
Korca beer brewery. You then continue your journey to Pogradec,<br />
before traveling back to Tirana through the mountains.<br />
Why not stop in Elbasan and visit the 15 th century castle?<br />
Day 6:<br />
Discover the historic city of Shkodra and Rozafa Castle and museum.<br />
From the walls of the castle, there is a gorgeous view of the river and<br />
valley below. During a city tour of Shkodra you can visit the old district,<br />
the Marubi Photo Museum and handmade mask factory.<br />
Day 7:<br />
Enjoy a morning tour of the marvellous city of Berat known as the<br />
city of thousand windows including a visit of Onuphri’s Iconic Museum<br />
and the Etnographic house before stopping for a traditional<br />
Day 11:<br />
