Romantic Train Rides in Northern
Poland
Admire the scenery, towns and villages in northern Poland during
a romantic train ride.
Suggested programme:
Day 1:
Arrive at your hotel in the Poznan area.
Day 2:
Today you can enjoy your first train ride from Poznan to Wolsztyn,
as well as a visit to the steam train museum. The Wolyztyn railway
is one of the last of its kind in Europe and very popular with railway
enthusiasts. Back in Poznan, enjoy a city tour and a stroll through
the Old Town including the Old Town Hall, the Old Market and the
Cathedral Island.
Day 3:
After breakfast, make a nostalgic trip on the narrow gauge railway
from Znin to the archaeological museum in Biskupin where
you can visit a reconstructed ice age village showing daily life
from approximately 2,700 years ago. Afterwards visit the Narrow
Gauge Railway Museum in Wenecja, which is full of old steam
locomotives.

Day 4:
In the morning, visit the birthplace
of Nicolaus Copernicus,
Torun. Your tour guide will show
you the sights of the city and tell
you something of the life of this
famous 15 th century astronomer.
Afterwards continue to the small
town of Golub-Dobrzn with its
huge castle. The castle owes its
beautiful gardens to the damsel
Anna Jagiellonka, the sister of the
Polish King Sigismund III.
