Chopin, one of the most influential composers
of piano music, was born in Zelazowa
Wola, a small village about 60kms from Warsaw. He studied
music and lived nearly half of his life in Warsaw and when he died,
his heart, as per his last will, was returned to Warsaw.
Suggested programme:
Day 1
Arrive at your hotel in Warsaw.
Day 2
In the morning you can enjoy a guided tour of the Old Town of
Warsaw where you will visit locations where Chopin either lived
or frequented. During a walk in the Lazieki Park you will see the
famous memorial of Chopin before going to the Chopin Museum
in Ostrogski Castle for an afternoon visit.
Day 3
Today you travel to Zalazowa Wola in Masovien where you can
visit the house where Chopin was born. The day continues with a
visit to the Brochow church where Chopin was christened, which
is also a memorial to the Polish sacral architecture. In the afternoon
you continue to you next hotel, in either Wroclaw or Poznan,
you can choose. Both cities have a lot to offer and are easy to
reach from Warsaw.
Day 4
Extend your stay or start on your return journey.

The charm of Zakopane is a result
of its location at the foot of the Tatra
Moutains. The town is home to a rich

folk culture and is the centre of a proud Polish highlander tradition.
Suggested programme:
Day 1:
Arrive at your hotel in Zakopane, your home for the next 3 nights.
Day 2:
After a relaxing breakfast you will be taken on a tour of this popular
mountain resort. Your guide will show you the highlights such as
the Nordic ski jump, the old and new wooden churches, the old
cemetery where many of the graves have wooden sculptures as
well as the Villa "Koliba" and the wooden houses of the Koscieliska
street. In the evening you can enjoy your evening meal in a
typical Inn.
Day 3:
Enjoy some free time in Zakopane, or take a picturesque tour
through the local countryside. This is an excellent place to take
walks along the valley or up in the mountains. Alternatively we
recommend a visit to the university town of Krakow.
Day 4:
Extend your stay in Zakopane or combine your trip to Poland with
a stay in Krakow or Wroclaw or depart homeward.
TIP:
Highly recommended is a trip to the Pieniny Mountains where you
can enjoy a rafting tour on the Dunajec River. During the day we
recommend visiting the wooden church in Debno – a UNESCO
Heritage site.
