This method provides to produce OLA with degree <strong>of</strong> oligomerisation in <strong>the</strong>range n = 2-20; with yield up to 99% and specific capacity about 80-90 g (OLA)/(l×h).The best results on syn<strong>the</strong>sis <strong>of</strong> lactide were obtained in <strong>the</strong> rotor film evaporator workingin <strong>the</strong> continuous flow regime. The process preferably was carried out in presence <strong>of</strong> catalyst(i.e. tin octoate) under vacuum (pressure = 12-15 torr) and temperature 220-225 °C. Thismethod provides to produce lactide with yield up to 88 % and specific capacity <strong>of</strong> reactor(concerning evaporation surface) 1.2 kg(lactide)/(m 2 ×h).ConclusionsThe three types <strong>of</strong> reaction units were examined for two reactions: oligomerisation <strong>of</strong>lactic acid and formation <strong>of</strong> lactide. The best reactor type and reaction condition wereexperimentally determined for both <strong>of</strong> processes.468
