PP-V-9Neither the low sulphur content (150 mg/kg)of the feedstock does not favor the selective hydrodesulphurization ability (high HDS activitybut moderate olefin and aromatics hydrogenation activity and thus low level of octane numberloss) of the PtPd/USY catalyst. Accordingly, the reason of the selectivehydrodesulphurization ability is the inhibiting effect of sulphur compounds and the resultinghydrogen sulphide on olefin hydrogenation, while high concentration of sulphur compoundsinhibits hydrodesulphurization.References1.
