CLAUSON,A PROCLAMATION.High Commissioner.WHEREAS by a Proclamation, dated the 5thAugust, 1914, Martial Law was proclaimedin and over the Island of Cyprus.AND WHEREAS by a Proclamation, dated the6th August, 1917, the exportation of the goodstherein mentioned was prohibited in manner thereinappearing.AND WHEREAS by Proclamations, dated the16th August, 1917, SOth August, 1917 and 10thOctober, 1917, the Proclamation secondly recitedwas amended and added to in certain particulars.AND WHEREAS it is desirable that the Proclamationsecondly recited as amended and addedto should be amended in manner hereinafterappearing.Now I, John Eugene Clauson, Major in theReserve of Officers of the Corps of Royal Engineers,Knight Commander of the Most DistinguishedOrder of Saint Michael and Saint George,Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, HisMajesty's High Commissioner and Commander-in-Chief in and over the Island of Cyprus do herebyorder and proclaim as follows:—1. That the said Proclamation, dated the 6thAugust, 1917, as amended and added to, shouldbe amended by making the following amendmentsin and additions to Schedule I. of the same:—(1) That the .following headings should bedeleted:—(B) Aluminum, alloys of aluminum and manufacturesof aluminum.(c) Arsenical ore.Chemicals, etc., the following :—(c) Arsenic, compounds of arsenic, and mixturecontaining arsenic.(B) Cresol, compounds and preparations of cresol(except saponified cresol), and nitro-cresol.(B) Cresol (saponified.)(B) Fencing staples.(c) Fishing gear, including tackle for fishing byrod and line.Leather goods of the following descriptions :—(B) Belting, hydraulic leather, pump leatherand leather manufacture suitable for textilemachinery.y(B) Machinery, agricultural, and component partsthereof, including hand tools which can be usedfor agricultural purposes.(C) Nails, wire.^B) Oils, animal, not otherwise specifically prohibitedand articles and mixtures containingsuch oils.(c) Oils, essential (except turpentine oil).(c) Paper, Japanese tissue.(c) Wood-screws made of iron or steel.2.
