CLAUSON,A PROCLAMATION.High Commissioner,TT<strong>THE</strong>REAS by a Proclamation, dated the 5thT T August, 1914, Martial Law was proclaimedin and over the Island of Cyprus.AND WHEREAS by a Proclamation, dated the6th August, 1917, the exportation of the goodstherein mentioned was prohibited in manner thereinappearing.AND WHEREAS by Proclamations, dated the16th and SOth August, and the 10th October, 1917,and the 10th January, the 4th March, the 14thJune, the 20th July, and the 29th August, 1918,the Proclamation secondly recited was amendedand added to in certain particulars.AND WHEREAS it is desirable that the Proclamationsecondly recited as amended and addedto should be amended in manner hereinafterappearing.Now I, John Eugene Clauson, Major in theReserve of Officers of the Corps of Royal Engineers,Knight Commander of the Most DistinguishedOrder of Saint Michael and Samt George,Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, HisMajesty's High Commissioner and Commandier-in-Chief in and over the Island of Cyprus, do herebyorder and proclaim as follows:—1. That the said Proclamation, dated the 6thAugust, 1917, as amended and added to, shouldbe amended by making the foUowing amendmentsin and additions to Schedule I. of the same :—(1) That the foUowing headings should bedeleted :—(B) Binoculars.(c) Bone Black.(c) Brooms and brushes, not otherwise specificallyprohibited.(B) Brushes, dandy.(B) Brushes, tooth.(B) Capsicum.(B) Capsicum, oleo-resin of.Chemicals, etc., the following:—(c) Aloe juice.(c) Iron, oxides of.(B) Compasses, other than ships' compasses.(B) Field glasses.(B) HeUographs.(B) Nautical instruments.(c) Paper coated with gelatine.(c) Paper, Japanese tissue and similar ceUulosepaper, whether in the piece or roll or cut intoshapes for domestic or other uses. ,(B) Paraffin wax.(B) Pipes, cast iron.Provisions and victuals which may be used asfood for man, the following :—(c) Condiments (except table salt) not otherwiseprohibited.(B) Tea.(B) Spices and mixtures thereof.(B) Telescopes.(B) Theodolites.(B) Tin, manufactures of (except hollow-ware,^tinplates, and receptacles, made wholly or partlyfrom tin plates).(B) Tin plates and receptacles made whoUy orpartly from tin plates.(B) VanilUn, vanilla, and vaniUa pods.(2) That the following headings should beadded:—(B) Binoculars and their component part^.(B) Bone black.(B) Brooms and brushes.(B) Capsicum including oleo-resin of capsicum.Chemicals, etc., the following:—LJ,(B) Iron, oxide of, and mixtures containingiron oxides.(B) Compasses (other than ships' compasses), andtheir component parts.(B) Diatomite or infusorial earth.(B) Field glasses, and their component parts.(B) Guttering, cast iron, and cast iron gutterfittings and connections..,, ^(B) Heliographs and their component parts. ..|i*f'(B) HoUow-ware, wrought, made wholly or partlyfrom iron and steel sheet or plate, the following:—Bottles, empty, braziers, cans, measures, scoops,^pails, pans, riddles, skips, troughs and trunkslΚΥΠΡΙΑΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ
