CLAUSON,High Commissioner.HIS EXCELLENCY <strong>THE</strong> HIGH COMMISSIONER, withthe advice and assistance of the Chief Justiceand in exercise of the powers vested in him by theCyprus Courts of Justice Order, 1882, and of everyother power enabling him in this behalf, is pleased tomake the following Rules of Court:—1. That the Rule hereafter set out shall for andduring the year 1918 be substituted for Rule 2 of theRules of Court (September, 1888.)2. That the sittings of the several District Courtsfor the trial of Civil actions shall be discontinued fromthe 1st July to the 15th September both inclusive.Provided that nothing herein contained is to be takento authorise the discontinuance of any business save asaforesaid, and provided also that during such discontinuanceof the sittings the President of the DistrictCourt shall, on application by the Crown, and may, ifat any time it appears to the President to be necessaryor desirable, summon any Judge or Judges for theholding of a District Court for the trial of Civil actionsat and for such time or times as are necessary or heshall deem fit.Given under the hand and Official Seal of theHigh Commissioner and the hand of the Chief.Justice at Nicosia, this SOth day of April,1918.
