CLAUSON,A PROCLAMATION.High Commissioner.WHEREAS by a Proclamation, dated the 5thAugust, 1914, Martial Law was proclaimedin and over the Island of Cyprus.AND WHEREAS by a Proclamation, dated fche6th August, 1917, the exportation of the goodstherein mentioned was prohibited in manner thereinappearing.AND WHEREAS by Proclamations, dated the16th and 30th August, and the 10th October, 1917,and the 10th January, and the 4th March, 1918,the Proclamation secondly recited was amendedand added to in certain particulars.AND WHEREAS it is desirable that the Proclamationsecondly recited as amended and addedto should be amended in manner hereinafterappearing.Now I, John Eugene Clauson, Major m theReserve of Oflficers of the Corps of Royal Engineers,Knight Commander of the Most DistinguishedOrder of Saint Michael and Saint George,Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, HisMajesty's High Commissioner and Commander-in-Chief in and over the Island of Cyprus do herebyorder and proclaim as follows:—1. That the said Proclamation, dated the 6thAugust, 1917, as amended and added to, shouldbe amended by making the following amendmentsin and additions to Schedule 1. of the same :—(1) That the following headings should bedeleted :—(c) Algin and its compounds.(B) Asphalt.(c) Asphalt, coal tar.(c) Baskets and basketware.(c) Bedding (not including bedsteads and partsthereof),(c) Belting, woven hair,(B) Bitumen, liquid or solid.(c) Blankets,(c) Bristles.(c) Brooms and brushes, except dandy brushes.(B) Camel fleece, khaki.(B) Candles manufactured wholly or partly ofparaffin wax or tallow.(c) Candles (except candles manufactured whollyor partly of paraflfin wax or tallow).(c) Carpets and carpet rugs made wholly or partlyof wool or hair.(B) Cartridges, charges of all kinds, and theircomponent parts.(c) Celluloid, articles wholly or partly manufacturedof.Chemicals, etc., the foUowing :—(B) Ammonia and its salts, whether simpleor compound (except ammonium nitrate^perchlorate, sulphate and sulphocyanide).(B) Ammonium alum.(B) Ammonium nitrate, perchlorate, sulphateand sulphocyanide.(B) Cinchona bark, its alkaloids and their salts.(c) Hydrastis canadensis.(B) Nickel, oxides and salts of (except nickelnitrate), and mixtures containing such oxidesor salts of nickel.(B) Soda, caustic.(B) Sodium carbonate.(c) Sodium sesquicarbonate.(B) Tin, chlorides of.(c) Tin, compounds of (except chlorides andoxide of tin).(c) Cork and cork dust, and articles manufacturedfrom cork or cork dust,(c) Felt (except saddle felt).(B) Fibre, coir.(B) Fibre, New Zealand flax.(c) Fibres, vegetable, not otherwise specificallyprohibited, and tissues and manufactures ofsuch fibres, not otherwise prohibited.(B) Firearms, rifled, and their component parts.(B) Firearms, unrifled, and their component parts.(B) Fireclay, and articles manufactured of fireclayincluding firebricks.(B) Glue, osseine and concentrated size, fishglue, isinglass, finings and other kinds ofgelatine.(c) Hair, all manufactures, mixtures and productsof, not otherwise specificaUy prohibited.Hemp and hemp manufactures, the following :—(B) Italian, Russian and Manila hemp, Magueyfibre, and manufactures thereof, except Tagalbraid.(B) Other hemp and manufactures thereof,not otherwise specificaUy prohibited.(B) Hides raw, manufactures of, the foUowing :—Pickers, drop box pickers, pinions, centresand other goods manufactured from ravtrhide, suitable for textile machinery.(A) Incandescent gas mantle rings.Leather goods of the foUowing descriptions :—(B) Belting, leather manufactures suitable fortextile machinery and leathers cut or shapedfor hydrauUc or pump purposes.(c) Goods manufactured whoUy or partly ofleather, not otherwise prohibited.(c) Leather waste.ΚΥΠΡΙΑΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ
