(M.P. 628/15.)No. 407.FAMAGUSTA MUNICIPALITY.HIS EXCELLENCY <strong>THE</strong> HIGH COMMISSIONER hasbeen pleased to approve of the followingBye-laws made by the Municipal Council of Famagusta.(M.P. 615/12.)BTB-LAWS MADE BY <strong>THE</strong> MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OFFAMAGUSTA UNDER <strong>THE</strong> AUTHORITY OF <strong>THE</strong>MUNICIPAL COUNCILS LAWS 1885 TO 1913.The following three paragraphs shall be added tothe Bye-law numbered 23 and published on page 8349of the Cyprus Gazette, dated 15th December, 1913 :—(a) The Municipality through its sanitary orother authorised officials has the right to enter andinspect at any time of the day every hotel, restaurant,khan, wine or spirit shop, cafe, bakery, confectionary,grocery, bath, and baker's shop with aview to seeing that the same are properly swept andkept clean, that all latrines attached thereto are ina sanitary condition, that kitchen and other utensilsused for food are kept properly washed, tinned andclean, that all food for sale which will be cooked orboiled is kept covered and free from flies, that cleanrunning water is used for washing cafe cups andtumblers, that cups and tumblers are sound andthat beds are free from vermin.{ff) The Inspecting Officer shall serve on theowner or occupier of any of the premises hereinbeforementioned a written notice of any act committedby him in contravention of the last precedingbye-law, and if such owner or occupier shall fail tocomply forthwith with the terms of such notioe asaforesaid, he shall be liable to be prosecuted for hisoffence and punished under section 56 of the MunicipalCouncils Law, 1885.(c) All food exposed for sale by hawkers must bekept covered and free from dirt and flies.No. 408.<strong>THE</strong> EDUCATION LAW V., 1905, SEC. 30.•DEFERRING to Notification No. 241 in the Cyprusil Gazette No. 1330 of the Srd May, 1918, His Excellencythe High Commissioner has further praMzibf^the foUowing additional Greek-Christian Teachers forthe School Year 1918-19.NICOSIA DISTRICT.Nicosia town:Two Boys' Schools 16 Masters iostead of 14, andTwo Girls* Schools 22 Mistresses instead of 20.FAMAGUSTA DISTRICT.Nahieh of Karpas:NO. 21 Yialoussa, Ayia Trias Quarter:2 Masters instead of 1.12th August, 1918.
