CLAUSON,High Commissioner.WHEREAS by an Order of the High Cominissionerin Council No. 738 of the 4th March, 1918,it was ordered that the tithe on all wheat, barley,vetches, oats, rye, favetta and vikos, should, for theyear 1918, be taken in kind and not in money.And Whereas by section 5 of the Tithe Law, 1881,it is provided that it shall be lawful for the HighCoinmissioner in Council, from time to time, to makeregulations as to the time, place and manner in whichpayments in respect of tithes shall be made :Now, Therefore, in exercise of the powers vested inhim by the Tithe Law, 1881, and with the advice ofthe Executive Council, His Excellency the HighCommissioner is pleased to order that the followingregulations shall take effect from the date of this Orderin Council until further orders; and it is herebyfurther ordered, that all payments in kind made inrespect of tithe on wheat, barley, vetches, oats, rye,favetta and vikos shall be delivered not later than theSOth day of September, 1918, at the GovernmentStores appointed for the purpose, to wit:—Kalokhorio Stores.1. For the Morphou and Lefka Nahiehs (save andexcept the villages stated under head 2 and 4), in theDifltrict of Nicosia :—the Stores situate near the Railway Station at Kalokhorio.Morphou Stores.2. For the following villages of the MorphouNahieh, in the Nicosia District, viz. :—Aloupos and Ankoulo MorphouChiftlikNikitaArgakiNikitariAstromeritiDhyo Potami (Ikider6)BarajiPeristeronaKato-KopiaPotamiAy.
