_________________LEE UNIVERSITY FACULTY HANDBOOK & CONSTITUTION_________________South Conference (GSC) and <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>University</strong>. The Assistant Athletic Director / SeniorWoman Administrator will have full knowledge of and abide by the provisions detailed inthis job description as well as all written or verbal policies, procedures and instructionsestablished by administration in the <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>University</strong> Staff <strong>Handbook</strong>. The Assistant AthleticDirector / Senior Woman Administrator reports directly to the Director of Athletics. Theduties of the Assistant Athletic Director / Senior Woman Administrator include, but are notlimited to the following:1. Acts a key decision-maker within the athletics department.2. Participate on the senior management team of the athletics department.3. Assist the Director of Athletics with overseeing the operation of the <strong>University</strong> AthleticDepartment.4. Assist in the preparation of the <strong>University</strong> Athletic Budget for recommendation to thePresident.5. Sign and approve purchase order requests and requisitions in absence of theDirector of Athletics.6. Assume duties as required in the absence of the Director of Athletics.7. Plan and manage the functions of and issues before the gender equity and Title IXcommittees and is a member of these committees.8. Serve as an advocate for issues important to both female and male student-athletes,coaches and staff.9. Serve as liaison for student-athletes in successfully balancing academics andathletics.10. Work closely with the Director of Athletics to envision, plan and implement theAthletic Department strategic plan and the university strategic plan.11. Assist in NCAA Division II reports.12. Represent women’s interests on appropriate committees and be the liaison betweenthe Director of Athletics and the <strong>University</strong> community concerning women’s needsand interests.13. Knowledgeable of Title IX and disseminate such information to the AthleticsDepartment.14. Oversee specific sports and personnel as assigned by the Director of Athletics.15. Assist with evaluation of personnel and staff development programs as assigned bythe Director of Athletics.16. Participate in the interviewing, selection and hiring of Athletics Departmentpersonnel.17. Serve as an advisor of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).18. Participate at conference leadership meetings.19. Attend NCAA Gender Equity forums, annual NCAA Conventions and Regional RulesSeminars.20. Participate in NACDA and NACWAA, including attendance at national conventions.21. Assume other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.Director of ComplianceThe Director of Compliance is responsible for the overall development,implementation and review of the institution’s compliance program. The daily operation ofthe compliance program includes rules education, rules interpretations, reviewing andmonitoring required documentation and coordinating rules compliance. The Director ofCompliance will comply with all rules and regulations set forth by the National CollegiateAthletic Association (NCAA), Gulf South Conference (GSC) and <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>University</strong>. TheDirector of Compliance will have full knowledge of and abide by the provisions detailed inthis job description as well as all written or verbal policies, procedures and instructions3 - 5 Organization
