Coordinate entrance testing with <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>University</strong> Testing and Evaluation.4. Evaluate transcripts of transfer students and majors.5. Advise students and mentor new faculty in advising processes.6. Maintain academic and student program records.7. Administer academic regulations in reference to any student who is majoring in adiscipline in the college.8. Follow the process of clearing students for graduation candidacy.External Relationships1. Monitor the continual development of the websites for the School of Nursing.2. Coordinate and supervise the programs of research and publication for the Collegeof Education.3. Provide direction for marketing and public relations for the School of Nursing tovarious publics.4. Maintain active positive relationships with healthcare facilities that provide clinicalopportunities for students.5. Engage in friend-raising and fund-raising activities to support the work of the School.By virtue of the position, the Dean of the School of Nursing serves on the followinguniversity governance bodies and committees:Academic CouncilGraduate CouncilThird Year Review CommitteeTenure Review CommitteeDean’s CouncilSchool of Nursing Committees (until the SON faculty numbers warrant otherwise)Academic Department Chairpersons1. Maintain a twelve–hour teaching load per year.2. Maintain comprehensive records of academic standing and progress of studentsmajoring within the department.3. Assist the Dean in the evaluation of transcripts of transfer students and majors.4. Assist in the supervision of instruction and research programs of the department.5. Assist in the preparation and/or assignment of the following:a. Instructional budgetb. <strong>Faculty</strong> loads and class schedulesc. Catalog revisionsd.
