Provides oversight of the Student Abroad Travel and Student Teaching Programbudget and finances.2. Directs the management of all <strong>University</strong> owned properties.3. Assist the Vice President for Business and Finance in acquiring properties on theborders of the university campus.4. Oversees the sale of any properties given to the university.5. Renegotiates existing contracts (worker’s compensation insurance, property andcasualty insurance, washer/dryer contracts, ATM, etc.)6. Handles various risk management issues and difficult insurance claims.7. Provides guidance and assistance in the endowment reporting process.8. Reviews contractual agreements in the process of securing auxiliary housing for theuniversity’s Residential Life Office.9. Creates internal controls and accounting processes for the health and employeebenefit premiums.10. Directs the preparation and maintenance of reports that are necessary to carry outcertain functions of the department.11. Prepares periodic reports to management as necessary, or as requested.12. Participates in the external auditing process.Director of Food ServicesThe Director of Food Services is responsible for the preparation and delivery of allcampus food services and is under the supervision of the Vice President for Businessand Finance. The duties of this position are as follows:1. Recommend personnel and outline their duties.2. Purchase food and materials relative to the Dining Hall, Food Court and all retailoperations.3. Supervise menu and food preparation.4. Supervise sanitation methods.5. Supervise food service for banquets, parties, and special functions.6. Responsible for the preparation of all monthly financial reports.7. Conduct all customer service activities in a courteous manner while displaying apleasant and responsive attitude.Manager of Campus BookstoreThe Manager of the Campus Bookstore is responsible for the activities of the campusbookstore and is under the supervision of the Vice President for Business and Finance.The duties of this position are as follows:1. Plans, organizes, directs and manages bookstore activities.2. Develops and implements bookstore operating procedures, and recommendsappropriate related policies.3. Prepares and manages annual bookstore budgets.4. Develops and controls operations in order to meet budget and service objectives.5. Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates assigned personnel; directs staff incashiering/accounting functions and in ordering textbooks, tradebooks, supplies, andrelated merchandise; and provides staff development for bookstore staff.6. Supervises activities related to the used book program.7. Creates and maintains appropriate bookstore image.8. Provides for the planning, supervision and maintenance of stock and inventorycontrols and levels.9. Oversees integration of technology with customer service.3 - 41 Organization
