Any revenue that is derived from the usage or sale of DAL curriculum isthe property of <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>University</strong>.The DAL Curriculum Development Office utilizes faculty feedback on an ongoingbasis to improve and update DAL curriculum. <strong>Faculty</strong> are surveyed at the end of each 8week session on the course curriculum and its relevancy to the subject being taught.<strong>Faculty</strong> feedback is utilized in the ongoing assessment and development of DALcurriculum.All new DAL courses are approved by the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee orthe Graduate Council and are submitted to the respective body for approval prior to fulldevelopment in the DAL.DAL <strong>Faculty</strong><strong>Faculty</strong> SelectionTo be considered for a full-time or part-time faculty member position in the <strong>Lee</strong><strong>University</strong> Division of Adult Learning, faculty candidates must meet the following criteria:• Provide a personal statement consistent with <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>University</strong> faith commitments.• Agree to support an orthodox Christian theology.• Commitment to a Pentecostal faith tradition is preferred, but not required.Candidates from other faith traditions must agree not to teach anything contrary tothe Pentecostal commitments of <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>University</strong>.• Submit transcript(s) of an earned accredited degree at Master’s level or higherwith a minimum of 18 earned credit hours in the teaching discipline. Preference isgiven to terminal degrees in each discipline.DAL faculty are recommended by the DAL <strong>Faculty</strong> Services Office and approved bythe DAL leadership team, the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the respectivedeans/department chairs, as applicable to the discipline. Once selected, facultymembers are asked to agree to the <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>University</strong> practices and policies by signing anemployment agreement for the stated term of service.<strong>Faculty</strong> Scheduling<strong>Faculty</strong> are scheduled into DAL courses by the DAL <strong>Faculty</strong> Services Office based oncredentials, course availability, faculty meeting/development participation, and successfulteaching experience. DAL faculty are not guaranteed a course each session but insteadare used as needed at the university’s discretion.New <strong>Faculty</strong> OrientationAs new faculty are hired in the DAL, they are required to participate in a new facultyorientation program. This training provides new faculty with a historical background of<strong>Lee</strong> <strong>University</strong> and the Church of God. In addition, the training identifies teachingexpectations, tips for integrating faith into the discipline, and includes best practices forteaching adult students. New faculty are trained on how to use the LMS and the policiesand procedures in the DAL.8 – 2 Division of Adult Learning
