Establish admissions policies/procedures.7. Create centralized admissions publications; and work closely with graduateprogram directors, faculty, chairs and deans.8. Serve on the Graduate Council.9. Review each graduate office data and information, and regularly produce admissionsrecruitment reports for the institution.10. Play a central role in designing, implementing, and organizing outreach effortsinvolving current students, faculty, and alumni.11. Coordinate graduate faculty/student recruitment efforts including identifyingappropriate events, travel logistics, event planning, training, and follow-up.12. Correspond with prospective students from initial inquiry through enrollment stages.13. Assist in the maintenance of computerized prospective student database incollaboration with Admissions Office.14. Host on campus visits and assist with fall/spring visitation days and new studentorientation for new graduate students.Director of Financial AidThe Director of Financial Aid is responsible to the Vice President for Enrollment andhas the following duties:1. Supervise all operations of the Financial Aid Office.2. Complete and file annual applications for federal funds.3. Review all student application for financial aid and make awards.4. Supervise disbursement and documentation of all federal and non-federal financialaid funds.5. Maintain individual records on all financial aid recipients. Maintain security of theoffice and all files.6. Counsel with parents and students regarding special conditions and dependencyoverrides.7. Prepare scholarship recommendations for the Student Aid Committee and serve aschair of the committee.8. Prepare the budget for the Financial Aid Office.9. Conduct weekly meetings with the office staff.10. Responsible for hiring staff and other human resource office needs.11. Keep up to date on federal regulations relating to Financial Aid and ensurecompliance with all appropriate agencies.Assistant Director(s) of Financial AidThe Assistant Director is directly responsible to the Director of Financial Aid and hasthe following duties:1. Oversee the Federal Pell Grant Program: verify eligibility, pay funds, generate andsubmit the originations and disbursement reports and work with the Business Officestaff to verify that this fund is balanced.2. Oversee the Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant Program: pay fundsand work with the Business Office staff to verify that this fund is balanced.3. Oversee the Federal Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) and SMARTPrograms: verify eligibility, pay funds, generate and submit the originations anddisbursements reports and work with the Business Office to reconcile the funds.3 - 45 Organization
