VA-101-XX-RP-XXXX[INSERT LOCATION OF FACILITY]Acoustical units shall be mineral fiber units that provide a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) ofat least 0.55 and a ceiling attenuation class (CAC) rating of at least 33. Provide units withmanufacturer’s standard white painted finish, except provide membrane faced (mylar) units in//kitchen and other //locations scheduled for non-absorbent, scrubbable finish. Ceiling unitsshall have a flame-spread of 25 or less and a smoke development rating of 50 or less (ASTME-84).7.7.2 CUBICLE CURTAIN TRACKSProvide cubicle curtain tracks with carriers and hooks in exam rooms and other locationsindicated in Schedule B for privacy.Provide surface-mounted tracks of extruded aluminum, ASTM B221, alloy 6063, temper T5 orT6, channel shaped, with smooth inside raceway for curtain carriers. End stop connectors,ceiling flanges and other accessories shall be fabricated from the same material with the samefinish as the tracks or from nylon.Curtain carriers shall be nylon or delrin, with either nylon or delrin wheels on metal, delrin, ornylon axles. Equip each carrier with either stainless steel, chromium-plated brass or steelhooks with swivel, or nickel chromium-plated brass or stainless steel bead chain and hookassembly. Alternatively, delrin carriers may have molded-on delrin hooks. Hook for beadchain may be the same material and finish as the bead chain or may be chromium-platedsteel. Provide 2.2 carriers for every foot (or fraction thereof) of each section of each tracklength, plus one additional carrier.At end of each section of track, make provision for insertion and removal of carriers. Design toprevent accidental removal of carrier. Any operating mechanism shall be removable withcommon tools.VA will supply and maintain fabric cubicle curtains.7.8 FLOORINGAn estimate of base quantities of each type of flooring that should be included in the proposedrental rate is indicated in Schedule C. Adjustments will be made at the end of the constructionbased on actual measurement and payment will be made per the pre-negotiated unit cost forthese items.Flooring material specifications and installation methods shall conform to the requirements ofthis SFO and referenced national standards. Under floor concrete must be smooth and level.Patching and leveling compounds containing gypsum are prohibited. When floor coveringsare newly installed or changed, samples must be approved in advance by the ContractingOfficer.Unless other material is scheduled for a room or area, perimeter base shall be rubber or vinylcomplying with ASTM F1861.
