MAY 2009SOLICITATION FOR OFFERS OUTPATIENT CLINIC <strong>SFO</strong> NO. VA-101-XX-RP-XXXX[INSERT LOCATION OF FACILITY]3.21.3 DATESshall reprocess the reports when requested by the Contracting <strong>Office</strong>r or designee, to correcterrors that affect the schedule for the project.The successful Lessor shall provide a combined project schedule for design and construction.Within 45 calendar days after award, the Lessor shall submit to the Contracting <strong>Office</strong>r ordesignee a project schedule giving the dates on which the various phases <strong>of</strong> design andconstruction will be completed to coincide with the Government's required occupancy date(refer to Paragraph 1.6 <strong>of</strong> this Solicitation). The schedule shall clearly indicate the completion<strong>of</strong> significant activities/events, including but not limited to:Submittal <strong>of</strong> completed First Design Development PackageSubmittal <strong>of</strong> completed Second Design Development PackageSubmittal <strong>of</strong> 75% <strong>Construction</strong> DocumentsSubmittal <strong>of</strong> 100% <strong>Construction</strong> DocumentsIssuance <strong>of</strong> a Building PermitSubmittal to VA <strong>of</strong> copies <strong>of</strong> Permits and Approved <strong>Construction</strong> DocumentsStart <strong>of</strong> constructionCompletion <strong>of</strong> principal categories <strong>of</strong> workTesting and balancingBuilding Systems CertificationFinal inspectionFinal completion <strong>of</strong> constructionOccupancy permit3.21.4 ACTIVITIESThe schedule shall contain approximately //1,000// //____// activities/events and shall break upthe work into activities/events <strong>of</strong> duration no longer than 20 work days each, except as to nonconstructionactivities/events (i.e., submittal <strong>of</strong> shop drawings, submittal review, fabrication,procurement <strong>of</strong> materials and equipment, delivery <strong>of</strong> materials and equipment, concrete andasphalt curing, testing and balancing, etc.) and any other activities/events for which theContracting <strong>Office</strong>r or designee may approve the showing <strong>of</strong> a longer duration. The durationfor VA approval <strong>of</strong> any required submittal, shop drawing, or other submittals shall not be lessthan 15 calendar days.The schedule shall describe work activities/events clearly, so the work is readily identifiable forassessment <strong>of</strong> completion. Activities/events labeled "start," "continue," or "completion," arenot specific and will not be allowed. Lead and lag time activities will not be acceptable.3.21.5 GOVERNMENT REVIEWTo the extent that the network diagram or any revised network diagram shows anything notjointly agreed upon, it shall not be deemed to have been approved by the Contracting <strong>Office</strong>ror designee.
