3.3 Noise<br />
Table 3.3‐2 summarizes the modeled traffic noise levels, provides noise levels at 100 feet from the<br />
centerline of each major roadway, and lists distances from the roadway centerlines to the 60 dBA,<br />
65 dBA, and 70 dBA Ldn traffic noise contours. These traffic noise modeling results are based on<br />
existing peak‐hour traffic volumes. As shown in Table 3.3‐2, the location of the 60 dBA Ldn contour<br />
ranges from 2 to 234 feet from the centerline of the modeled roadways. The extent to which<br />
existing land uses in the project area are affected by existing traffic noise depends on their<br />
proximity to the roadways and their individual sensitivity to noise.<br />
