Natural Resources Management (NRM)<br />

2.0 Project Description<br />

NRM Goal 1: Manage the SVRA for a balance of uses that allow protection of natural<br />

resources while maintaining a quality OHV recreational experience.<br />

NRM Goal 2: Encourage a balance of uses within Clay Pit SVRA that allow the restoration<br />

or enhancement of natural habitats while maintaining a quality OHV recreational<br />

experience.<br />

Soils Management (Soils)<br />

Soils Goal 1: Manage the SVRA for a balance of uses that allow protection and conservation<br />

of soil while maintaining a quality OHV recreational experience.<br />

Plants and Natural Communities (Plants)<br />

Plants Goal 1: Manage the SVRA for a balance of uses that allow protection of special‐<br />

status plants and sensitive natural communities while maintaining a quality OHV<br />

recreational experience.<br />

Wildlife<br />

Wildlife Goal 1: Manage the SVRA for a balance of uses that allow protection of native<br />

wildlife species, including special‐status wildlife species, while maintaining a quality OHV<br />

recreational experience.<br />

Water Quality and Supply (Water)<br />

Water Goal 1: Manage the SVRA for the protection of jurisdictional waters of the United<br />

States, including wetlands, while maintaining a quality OHV recreational experience.<br />

Water Goal 2: Manage the SVRA for the protection of water quality while maintaining a<br />

quality OHV recreational experience.<br />

Water Goal 3: Manage the SVRA to conserve water resources while maintaining a quality<br />

OHV recreational experience.<br />

Water Goal 4: Anticipate flooding issues when planning for the development of the SVRA.<br />

Cultural Resource Management (CR)<br />

CR Goal 1: Preserve and protect significant cultural sites and features.<br />

Interpretation and Education (IE)<br />

IE Goal 1: Provide interesting and educational interpretive materials that address the<br />

SVRA’s sense of place and history and meet the needs and interests of the visitor<br />

population.<br />
