103political faith and from fulfillment of the commandments that are tied tosuch a faith.4This idea of representing the Ashkenazi People as a flawed people, blemished and not worthy of redemption, turned into the central idea of theNew Hebrew Literature. This supporting pillar, this idea, and this intereststems from the duplicity of the New Hebrew Literature.
