205up to our level. That is to say, to turn them into Ashkenazim. If theydecline to take this obligation upon themselves, then they exempt us fromall far-reaching obligations toward them. For this refusal gives us thestatus of a regular Jewish People, of an “ethnic group” that bears noresponsibility toward other ethnic groups and is concerned only with itself. The relationships between the Ashkenazim, on the one hand, and theSephardo-Mizrahim on the other, are so neurotic and complicated that noagreement can put them in order. Only a great “forgiveness”, made in theframework of Jewish concepts, can offer hope of curing this neurosis. Ifthis is not done, then there will be an increasing distancing; theAshkenazim will limit their activities to defense, and basic economic, arenas, and they will not produce thousands of workers for the fields ofeducation and social services, which are needed in order to bring humanrehabilitation to the backward Sephardo-Mizrahi classes.12Moreover: The refusal of the Sephardo-Mizrahim to view us as the chosenpeople will lead to a very dangerous outcome. They cannot ignore ourabilities, which exceed any normal ability of an “ethnic group”, and thelogic of this matter requires them to fix a definition to our powers. Theconcepts, in this realm, are entirely polar and, therefore, when theSephardo-Mizrahim refuse to define our great powers as an ability thatcomes from being the chosen people, they will define it as a satanic power. The discerning observer of the Sephardic leaders’ propaganda will reachthe conclusion that its final aim is to represent Ashkanaz as Satan. TheSephardic leaders say that Ashkenaz discriminates against them at everystep and turn. That it oppresses, disgraces and abuses. That it does notquickly solve the “ethnic problem”. More than this: All demonicpropaganda cites, as its examples, children who fall victim to diabolicalforces: Blood libels did not accuse the Jews of the murder of Christianadults, but of the murder of Christian children. The demonic images of thesorcerer and the witch are of those who kidnap children. So too is thedemonic Sephardic propaganda. Over and over they accuse us of “makingthe children stupid”. One Sephardic activist once said “there is no money
