Why have you grownso sluggish? Correct yourself, my friend, correct yourself! Especially, since itis so important to me... First, that I might at last have some information aboutyou, your brothers and father, whom I continue to love and about whom I oftenthink. I ask you to please give them my most sincere greetings.Further, I would wish... I urgently need, one way or another, to come tosome conclusion with my wife. Not long ago I wrote a letter to AlphonseKropiwnicki, asking him to consult with you, and then to advise me aboutwhat I am to do. Should I seek a divorce? 120 or, should I maintain the statusquo? By this time I should have had a response. I have had none! Apparentlyhe has put aside my concern, as though I did not exist.My dearest Michael, I ask you not to do the same! Tell me about hersituation and about her behavior... And quickly send me your opinion aboutwhat I am to do... And, if in what I am to do I need your assistance, do notrefuse me, remember our longstanding friendship. I cannot offer you any longexplanations here: you must believe that I urgently need to reach a decisionconcerning my relationship with her. Otherwise my hands are tied; and,although there are many avenues open to me, I stand in one place likea fool, not knowing where I should turn...
