If there were political troubles, such as theyreport, it is very probable that in a short time they would increase and goodbyeto my payments. Here everything is more expensive than at Paris. Thepeople who helped me till now themselves need the same help. I would onlybeg you to speak about it to our fathers and perhaps someone from the doctrinewould be able to advance me a small sum so I could come to Paris where Iwould find some of my fellow countrymen and as a result more facilities forbeing able to live, and above all you are there. And as for that advance as soonas I receive my allotment I will be able to give it back. Moreover, I owealready a little money to the doctrine for the books, but my dear father all myexistence, all my strengths are yours, on the material side all that in the future Iwill be able to own is at your orders.Recourse to the Amitie without religious sympathy and to the liberalityof some English people whom I know will allow me to go to Poland and fightfor liberty. An as I see no reasons against this project, but ifthat is true, if you judge it to be good, I see no reason why I should showmyself indifferent in their eyes and remain a spectator of their efforts.
