633My dearest and most beloved brothers, in the midst od all youroccupations, projects, hopes, business - of all that surrounds you-constantly andwithout fail raise your souls to God and to our eternal homeland; urgently moveand press on toward that goal, drawing us after yourselves in spirit and by yourprayers. This is my main advice and request.I am writing this letter from Mortagne where I have stopped for a few daysafter a long stay at La Trappe, until the Feast of St. Adalbert 838 before returning toParis. Allow our most gracious brother and benefactor Caesar to read it. Iapologize to him most sincerely and most humbly for not writing a special note tohim this time.
