Describe the solution from the perspective of e<strong>CAL</strong><br />

The communication process involved in SEAGULL is very apt for e-cal, and som<strong>et</strong>hing similar could<br />

be incorporated. Live online me<strong>et</strong>ings are encouraged and are an integral part of the seagull<br />

language learning process.<br />

In this process and m<strong>et</strong>hod, the learners learn tog<strong>et</strong>her and monitor each other’s<br />

accomplishments and progress to each of the learning goals. The communicative aspect of the<br />

learning m<strong>et</strong>hodology is absolutely key in the project and makes it stand out from other online<br />

language learning projects.<br />

3.4.Thematic Area Resources<br />

Describe the solution from the perspective of e<strong>CAL</strong><br />

The resources available on SEAGULL are geared towards the assistance and guidance of learners<br />

towards other learners. These come in the form of topic plans, lesson ideas, areas of guidance for<br />

learners and for gui<strong>des</strong> and ideas for interactive lessons which focus on teaching both parties in the<br />

same lesson, delivered by the parties.<br />

The material is covered in 14 languages (ARABIC, CHINESE, ENGLISH, FRENCH, GERMAN, ITALIAN,<br />

LITHUANIAN, LUXEMBOURGISH, POLISH, PORTUGUESE, RUSSIAN, SPANISH, SWEDISH, TURKISH) and<br />

the areas are:<br />
