1.Description of objectives, expected and/or obtained results<br />
iPortal’s objectives are to create a platform for online language training that integrates resources and<br />
m<strong>et</strong>hodologies including video, audio and m-learning and social n<strong>et</strong>working. It inclu<strong>des</strong> a Second Life<br />
facility (iPortal Island) to enable learners to me<strong>et</strong> and communicate on-line.<br />
It aims to develop a n<strong>et</strong>work of language centres and freelance teachers using the portal.<br />
iPortal offers access to learning resources in English, Polish, German, Spanish, Turkish and Bulgarian.<br />
2.Targ<strong>et</strong> groups<br />
iPortal’s targ<strong>et</strong> groups are learners, teachers and language teaching organisations around the world.<br />
These groups were included in the testing phase and the teachers and supporters received training (in<br />
all the participating countries and languages as well as in additional languages).<br />
The project reached disadvantaged people such as disabled, migrants and migrant authorities (as is<br />
evident from d<strong>et</strong>ailed assessment reports).
