certification as to need for temporary agricultural workers. For data on temporary workers admitted under Immigration and<br />

Nationality Act, see table 143. Mexican agricultural laborers were employed under the provisions of Public Law 78 from 1949<br />

until December 31, 1964. After that date, Mexican agricultural laborers, like workers from other countries, entered the <strong>United</strong><br />

<strong>States</strong> under the Immigration and Nationality Act, which provides for the importation of foreign workers If like workers are not<br />

available in the <strong>United</strong> <strong>States</strong>]<br />
