CL0610 – Clinical Reasoning II<br />
Units: 1<br />
This course is designed both to teach students how to design an effective treatment plan <strong>and</strong> to provide<br />
students with the essential skills that compose a treatment plan. This course will incorporate the essentials of<br />
functional evaluation, soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, <strong>and</strong> chiropractic manipulative techniques as<br />
they pertain to the treatment of specific patient diagnosis. Additionally, this course will serve as an<br />
introduction to active care <strong>and</strong> physiotherapy, <strong>and</strong> will also review case management strategy. This class will<br />
be taught in conjunction with Differential Diagnosis I <strong>and</strong> will rein<strong>for</strong>ce the correct use of history taking,<br />
physical examination techniques, <strong>and</strong> diagnostic reasoning as they relate to reaching a diagnosis <strong>and</strong><br />
<strong>for</strong>mulating a treatment plan. There<strong>for</strong>e, we will be utilizing in<strong>for</strong>mation learned from ALL previous courses.<br />

CL0703 – Clinical Reasoning III<br />
Units: 1<br />
This case-based course is designed to exp<strong>and</strong> on clinical reasoning skills concepts developed during CR I <strong>and</strong><br />
CR II, through student review <strong>and</strong> integration of pre-clinical concepts into simulated clinical cases. CR III will<br />
facilitate development of the student's abilities to apply appropriate therapeutic procedures to specific<br />
regions of the body. This would include specific adjustments, mobilization, soft tissue work. The student is<br />
expected to apply their knowledge of these subjects, guiding their clinical judgment in areas of history taking,<br />
physical examination, orthopedic, neurologic assessment, <strong>and</strong> patient management. Classroom instruction<br />
includes lecture, individual, <strong>and</strong> small-group activities.<br />

CL0817 – Practice Management: Coding <strong>and</strong> Billing<br />
Units: 1<br />
This course will assist students to learn the fundamental aspects of insurance, collections, patient<br />
management <strong>and</strong> practice organizational skills required by the graduating healthcare provider in preparing <strong>for</strong><br />
work in a private practice setting. The focus will be on managing insurance, billing <strong>and</strong> procedure codes, medlegal<br />
claims, <strong>and</strong> business preparation. Active class participation <strong>and</strong> guest speakers will be utilized.<br />

CL10T08 – Chiropractic Internship I<br />
Units: 12<br />
This course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills <strong>and</strong> behaviors necessary <strong>for</strong> chiropractic clinical<br />
practice. Student interns will actively participate in patient care while under the supervision of a licensed<br />
doctor of chiropractic. Students will also engage in various other educational experiences. Clinical Internship<br />
is a sequential, three-part educational program, during which students will meet specified course objectives<br />
that satisfy the program learning outcomes.<br />
Prerequisites: Completion of all courses trimesters 1-7, minimum cumulative GPA 2.0<br />
