SEL0848 – Pediatric Adjusting <strong>and</strong> Management<br />

This h<strong>and</strong>s on lecture course is designed to introduce the student to Pediatric adjusting methods <strong>and</strong> patient<br />
management. The course will emphasize history <strong>and</strong> physical assessments, spinal examination <strong>and</strong> spinal<br />
manipulation. The student will be introduced to several different techniques <strong>and</strong> emphasis will be placed on<br />
their therapeutic application. Advanced topics will include management of the challenged child.<br />

SEL0853 – Advanced Imaging<br />
Units: 2<br />
Fundamental overview of advanced imaging modalities with an emphasis on MRI, Ultrasound <strong>and</strong> CT. Topics<br />
of discussion include indications <strong>for</strong> ordering, advantages, disadvantages, limitations, basic physics, basic<br />
anatomy <strong>and</strong> common pathology <strong>for</strong> each modality. Methods of instruction include lecture, lab work <strong>and</strong><br />
online assignments.<br />

SEL0857 – Advanced Diversified Technique <strong>for</strong> the Upper <strong>and</strong> Lower Extremities<br />

This laboratory course is designed to advance the student’s extremity adjusting skills. The course will<br />
emphasize assessment <strong>and</strong> application of the adjustments to the extremity system <strong>and</strong> will also include<br />
patient education, exercises, <strong>and</strong> methods of prevention of injuries<br />

This laboratory course is designed to introduce the student to the Specific Upper Cervical Toggle Recoil. The<br />
course is designed to introduce the student to the adjusting skills necessary to per<strong>for</strong>m a Toggle Recoil with a<br />
drop piece.<br />

SEL0908 – Dissection I<br />
Units: 1<br />
This course deals with the study of gross anatomy by dissection of a human cadaver with emphasis on the<br />
musculature <strong>and</strong> neurovascular supply of the thoracic <strong>and</strong> abdominal walls, organs of the thoracic <strong>and</strong><br />
abdominal cavities, <strong>and</strong> external genitalia.<br />
