PSY202 – Psychology II<br />

This Developmental Psychology course will focus on the lifespan perspective <strong>and</strong> theories of human<br />
development from infancy, early childhood to adolescence. Classes will focus on prenatal development, birth<br />
<strong>and</strong> physical development, cognitive development <strong>and</strong> socioemotional development throughout the lifespan.<br />
Critical thinking skills will be important to the underst<strong>and</strong>ing of the important elements of development<br />
throughout a person’s life.<br />

SB0101 – Spinal Biomechanics<br />

This lecture course is designed to provide the chiropractic student with a basic underst<strong>and</strong>ing of<br />
biomechanical structure <strong>and</strong> function as it applies to the axial skeleton. Direct application to chiropractic<br />
assessment <strong>and</strong> therapeutic procedures will be emphasized.<br />

This is a live, online, case-based presentation course. This course provides students with the opportunity to<br />
develop a basic underst<strong>and</strong>ing of management protocols, <strong>and</strong> acquire <strong>and</strong> develop reasoning skills necessary<br />
to modify management plans through a variety of clinical presentations.<br />

SEL0808 – Yoga <strong>for</strong> the Management of Common Conditions<br />
Units: 2<br />
This course designed to improve muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, balance <strong>and</strong> relaxation techniques.<br />
Students will be provided with a beginner working knowledge of yoga postures <strong>and</strong> the benefits associated<br />
with yoga. Students will compare <strong>and</strong> contrast poses that benefit health <strong>and</strong> ameliorate various diseases <strong>and</strong><br />
learn how to modify certain postures to treat patients with specific disorders. Yoga <strong>and</strong> Pranayama beneficial<br />
to common health conditions will also be discussed in detail.<br />

SEL0809 – Anatomy Dissection I<br />
Units: 1<br />
This course deals with the study of gross anatomy by dissection of a human cadaver with emphasis on the<br />
musculature <strong>and</strong> neurovascular supply of the thoracic <strong>and</strong> abdominal walls, organs of the thoracic <strong>and</strong><br />
abdominal cavities, <strong>and</strong> external genitalia.<br />
