PA201 – PA Clinical Applications II<br />
Units: 3<br />
This course is designed to provide the practical features of clinical diagnosis <strong>and</strong> patient management in<br />
primary care. The course will include five modules: hematology, oncology, EKG interpretations, cardiology <strong>and</strong><br />
pulmonology. Each module contains objectives which will be reviewed <strong>and</strong> analyzed. The goal of the course<br />
includes underst<strong>and</strong>ing of the disease state (objective) from discovering etiology, epidemiology,<br />
pathophysiology, chief complaint, signs/symptoms, physical examination, <strong>and</strong> diagnosis, to treatment.<br />
Prerequisites: PA101<br />
Corequisites: GA0102, CBS0106, CBS0201<br />

PA301 – PA Clinical Applications III<br />
Units: 3<br />
This is the third in a four-part course used to apply clinically the material learned in Terms I, II, <strong>and</strong> III to<br />
patient care practices. Emphasis will be placed on mastering the skills required to elicit the medical interview,<br />
introductory physical exam skills, <strong>and</strong> enhancing documentation <strong>and</strong> note writing.<br />

PA401 – PA Clinical Applications IV<br />
Units: 3<br />
This is the final in a four-part course used to apply clinically the material learned in Terms 1 – IV to patient<br />
care practices. Emphasis will be placed on the mastering the skills required to elicit the medical interview,<br />
enhancing physical exam skills, <strong>for</strong>mulating a differential diagnosis <strong>and</strong> management plan <strong>and</strong> becoming<br />
proficient at documentation <strong>and</strong> note writing.<br />

PACRFM – Family Practice<br />
Units: 8<br />
This course is intended to provide students with a basic appreciation of health care delivery in Family<br />
Medicine. Students will work in an approved Family medical practice, <strong>and</strong> learn how to provide care <strong>for</strong> the<br />
variety of presenting conditions, with particular emphasis on diverse <strong>and</strong> non-emergent care.<br />

PACRGS – General Surgery<br />
Units: 8<br />
This course is intended to provide students with a basic appreciation of health care delivery in General<br />
Surgery. Students will work in an approved General Surgery practice, <strong>and</strong> learn how to provide care <strong>for</strong> the<br />
