DX0807 – Clinical Psychology<br />

This course is designed to introduce in<strong>for</strong>mation related to basic psychological concepts <strong>and</strong> to familiarize the<br />
student with abnormal psychological conditions, which may be encountered in chiropractic practice.<br />
Recognition of disorders, the treatment of said disorders <strong>and</strong> the need <strong>for</strong> referral/collaborative care will be<br />
emphasized.<br />

DX110 – Introduction into Physical Assessment I<br />
Units: 1<br />
This course is designed to introduce the Term 1 student to physical examination skills. Emphasis is on technical<br />
skills <strong>and</strong> muscle memory in per<strong>for</strong>ming the physical exam in a logical order without <strong>for</strong>getting important<br />
components.<br />

DX210 – Introduction into Physical Assessment II<br />

This course is designed to introduce the Term 1 student to physical examination skills of the cardiovascular,<br />
gastrointestinal, <strong>and</strong> lymphatic systems, Emphasis is on technical skills <strong>and</strong> muscle memory in per<strong>for</strong>ming the<br />
physical exam in a logical order without <strong>for</strong>getting important components.<br />

EB0201 – Biomechanics of the Extremities<br />
Units: 1<br />
This lecture-based course is designed to provide the student with a basic underst<strong>and</strong>ing of biomechanical<br />
structure <strong>and</strong> function as it applies to the appendicular skeleton. Direct application to chiropractic assessment<br />
<strong>and</strong> therapeutic procedures will be emphasized.<br />

ERS – Emergency Medicine Surgery <strong>and</strong> Trauma<br />
Units: 1<br />
This course is designed to prepare the PA student <strong>for</strong> their rotation in Emergency Medicine. Topics will<br />
include common emergency room presentations, acute stabilization of the trauma patient, <strong>and</strong> surgical<br />
procedures utilized in the emergency department setting.<br />
