REVUE DE PRESSE-PRESS REVIEW-BERHEVOKA ÇAPÊ-RwISTA STAMPA-DENTRO DE LA PRENSA-BASIN ÖZETi L Républicain - 16 décembre 1993 Les Kur<strong>de</strong>s existent. parlons-en I Neuf associations françaises, dont la Maison du mon<strong>de</strong> à Evry, ont tenu, jeudi 9 décembre, une conférence <strong>de</strong> presse, présidée par Mme Geneviève Jacques, secrétaire générale <strong>de</strong> la Cllma<strong>de</strong>, <strong>et</strong> maitre Daniel Jacoby, prési<strong>de</strong>nt <strong>de</strong> la fédération internationale <strong>de</strong>s ligues <strong>de</strong>s droits <strong>de</strong> l'homme, pour lancer une campagne d'opinion pour le respect <strong>de</strong>s droits du peuple kur<strong>de</strong>. En 1991, l'opinion publique s'émeut <strong>de</strong> la situation <strong>de</strong>s Kur<strong>de</strong>s fuyant les persécutions du régime <strong>de</strong> Sadd am Hussein. Un vaste élan <strong>de</strong> solidarité amène les pays occi<strong>de</strong>ntaux à protéger la population kur<strong>de</strong> <strong>et</strong> garantir son r<strong>et</strong>our sur une partie <strong>de</strong> la région kur<strong>de</strong> d'Irak. Mais "ai<strong>de</strong> humanitaire ne peut résoudre le problème politique <strong>de</strong> l'existence <strong>et</strong> <strong>de</strong> la reconnaissance <strong>de</strong>s droits <strong>de</strong>s quelque trente millions <strong>de</strong> Kur<strong>de</strong>s qui vivent en Turquie, Irak, Iran <strong>et</strong> Syrie ess4;lntiellement, où ils subissent une répression violente <strong>de</strong>puis <strong>de</strong> nombreuses années, dans la plus gran<strong>de</strong> indifférence. C'est dans ce contexte que neuf associations lancent une campagne d'opinion pour <strong>de</strong>man<strong>de</strong>r au gouvernement français <strong>de</strong> ne pas sacrifier le sort <strong>de</strong>s Kur<strong>de</strong>s au nom d'intérêts géostratégiques. C<strong>et</strong>te campagne poursuit <strong>de</strong>ux objectifs: la création d'un groupe d'étu<strong>de</strong>s parlementaires sur ce -suj<strong>et</strong> <strong>et</strong> la livraison à la Turquie <strong>de</strong> vingt hélicoptères Super Puma à partir <strong>de</strong> 1995. Les associations. <strong>de</strong>man<strong>de</strong>nt que la france ne livre ces hélicoptères que si la Turquie accepte une clause <strong>de</strong> non utilisation <strong>de</strong> ces armes contre la p0- pulation civile. La campagne est diffusée sous la forme d'un document <strong>de</strong> huit pages <strong>et</strong> <strong>de</strong> cartes postales. La Montagne - 16 décembre 1993 PROTESTATION , Une réaction <strong>de</strong> maires Les maires d'Auzon, 8ournoncle-Saint-Pierre, Lemp<strong>de</strong>s <strong>et</strong> Sainte-Florine ont uni leur désapprobation <strong>et</strong> le font savoir, en réaction aux différents repor-. tages télévisés relatifs à l'opération <strong>de</strong> police .organisée le mois <strong>de</strong>rnier contre les membres du parti <strong>de</strong>s travailleurs du J(urdistan d'origine turque (PKK). « France 2 <strong>et</strong> TF1 ont utilisé <strong>de</strong>s images provenant d'anciens reportages effectués dans le Bassin minier <strong>et</strong> qui concernaient les familles kur<strong>de</strong>s irakiennes accueillies en novembre 1989 dans les communes d'Auzon, Bournoncle-Saint-Pierre, Lemp<strong>de</strong>s <strong>et</strong> Sainte-Florine. L'amalgame <strong>de</strong> ces images pt'Ut laisser penser que les familles sont, SOIt liées, soit même partie prenante ou membres du PKK •. • Les maires <strong>de</strong> ces communes s'élèvent contre <strong>de</strong> tels procédée qui font planer la suspicion sur une communauté durement touchée par le génoci<strong>de</strong> du .gouvernement irakien à leur encontre <strong>et</strong> qui ne <strong>de</strong>man<strong>de</strong> qu'à s'intégrer •. Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace - 16 décembre 1993 Kur<strong>de</strong>s emprisonnés La grève <strong>de</strong> la faim continue UNE vingtaine <strong>de</strong> Kur<strong>de</strong>s <strong>de</strong> Turquie continuent <strong>de</strong>puis quinze jours un mouvement <strong>de</strong> grève <strong>de</strong> la faim pour protester contre l'arrestation <strong>de</strong> vingt <strong>de</strong> leurs camara<strong>de</strong>s lors <strong>de</strong> la rafle effectuée le 18 novembre dans l'immij!;ration kur<strong>de</strong> par la police française. Les grévistes <strong>de</strong> la faim, réfugiés dans le local d'une association kur<strong>de</strong> (23, rue du Faubourg-Saint-Denis, à <strong>Paris</strong>) protestent également contre la dissolution <strong>et</strong> l'interdiction, décidées le 30 novembre par le gouvernement français, <strong>de</strong> plusieurs associations culturelles <strong>de</strong> travailleurs kur<strong>de</strong>s <strong>et</strong> du Comité du Kurdistan. Faire pression sur Ankara Depuis une semaine, les ,17 Kur<strong>de</strong>s maintenus en détention <strong>de</strong>puis le 18 novembre se sont joints au mouvement <strong>et</strong> refusent <strong>de</strong> s'alimenter. Rappelons que 20 travailIeurs kur<strong>de</strong>s avaient été maintenus en détention aprés la rafle du 18 novembre sous l'accusation d'cc ass0- ciation <strong>de</strong> malfaiteurs en relation av<strong>et</strong> une organisation terroriste )t <strong>et</strong> cc extorsion <strong>de</strong> fonds )t. Trois d'entre eux ont été libérés la semaine <strong>de</strong>rnière, faute <strong>de</strong> la moindre preuve contre eux dans leurs dossiers. Les audiences continuent <strong>et</strong> les avocats, affirmant que tous les dossiers sont vi<strong>de</strong>s, continuent d'exiger la libération <strong>de</strong> leurs clients. A Strasbourg, lors <strong>de</strong> la session en cours du Parlement européen, le groupe Coalition <strong>de</strong>s gauche a déposé un proj<strong>et</strong> <strong>de</strong> résolution, notamment signé <strong>de</strong> René Piqu<strong>et</strong>, <strong>de</strong>mandant aux gouvernements <strong>de</strong> France <strong>et</strong> d'Allemagne <strong>de</strong> ne pas expulser <strong>de</strong> réfugiés kur<strong>de</strong>s vers la Turquie. Le texte condamne les sanglantes exactions <strong>de</strong> l'armée turque <strong>et</strong> les actes terroristes du PKK. 11<strong>de</strong>man<strong>de</strong> au gouvernement turc <strong>de</strong> m<strong>et</strong>tre fin à la répression <strong>et</strong> d'entamer <strong>de</strong>s négociations av<strong>et</strong> les représentants du . peuple kur<strong>de</strong>. 11 <strong>de</strong>man<strong>de</strong> aux autorités communautaires <strong>et</strong> aux Etats membres d'utiliser :eurs relations politiqu~ <strong>et</strong> économiques avec Ankara pour faire pression en ce sens. • Hatip Dicle, trenœ-huit ans, député <strong>de</strong> Diyarbakir, a été élu, dimanche soir, prési<strong>de</strong>nt du Parti <strong>de</strong> la démocratie (DEP), réuni en congrès à Ankara. Le DEP défend le!> droits <strong>de</strong>s populations kur<strong>de</strong>s du sud-est <strong>de</strong> la Turquie <strong>et</strong>, en premier lieu, la reconnaissance <strong>de</strong> leur i<strong>de</strong>ntité <strong>et</strong> <strong>de</strong> leurs droits culturels <strong>et</strong> politiques. Il dispose <strong>de</strong> 17 députés à l'Assemblée nationale <strong>de</strong> Turquie, tOlL'imenacés <strong>de</strong> levée <strong>de</strong> leur ilDlllunité parlementaire. Le parti lili-même est actuelle- _nt obj<strong>et</strong> d'une enquête judiciaire pour 4( activité séparatiste )t. Lors <strong>de</strong> son congrès, le DEP s'est prononcé contre la violence <strong>et</strong> pour une solution politique <strong>et</strong> démocratique du problème kur<strong>de</strong>. 101
