The design provides for a services development marked by the intersection of two bodies: one develops on nine storeys above grounds, while the two-storeyed “bridge” towers over the old building, that has accommodated the factory since 1904: a pre-existence that remains as a historical memory and will be the venue of a museum. Il committente ha delineato le principali caratteristiche che il fabbricato avrebbe dovuto possedere per ospitare il proprio headquarters : valorizzare l’edificio storico con un alto standard di qualità, forte caratterizzazione architettonica e personalità. Il brief chiedeva una sede che durasse nel tempo ed esprimesse i valori fondanti dell’azienda e dei suoi marchi – unicità, razionalità, eleganza, trasparenza; un edifico moderno e razionale che potesse rispondere alle esigenze e ai bisogni attuali e futuri, quindi molto versatile; un luogo dove si lavora con piacere, dove l’ambiente di lavoro trasmette coerenza, pulizia, trasparenza, rigore; un edificio che pur nella complessità architettonica, nella scelta dei materiali e nell’attenzione al dettaglio rispettasse il budget di costo definito. Campari offices, Sesto San Giovanni (Mi) The client outlined the chief characteristics the building should have to be a suitable venue for the company: to enhance the old building with a high quality standard, marked architectural characterization and personality. The brief provided for offices lasting over time and expressing the basic values of the company and its brands: uniqueness, functionality, elegance, transparency; a modern and functional building to meet the current and future needs, so very adaptable; a place where one works with pleasure and not overshooting the cost budget. ■
