culture. Biblioteka XX vek publishes works of
certified value and the ones whose authors deal
with current and new topics and provide the keys
for understanding of the world we live in. They only
publish books by foreign authors which have not
been translated into Serbian language. The Library
owes its artistic looks to the academic painter, Ivan
Mesner, who has designed the covers of all published
books so far. The 200 th book published in the series
is the book by Dubravka Stojković, Noga u vratima :
prilozi za političku biografiju Biblioteke XX vek, and
Milena Marković published the bibliography of the
Biblioteka XX vek within the same book. The Library
has published 200 books so far on various topics
from the field of ethnology, anthropology and
alike. The first publication was the study by Paul
Lengrand, An Introduction to Lifelong Education
(Uvod u permanentno obrazovanje).
The winner of the Herder prize for the year 2000;
decorated with the rank of Chevalier in the French
Legion of Honor, prizes “Konstantin Obradović”
for 2006; Friends of the daily Journal “Danas”, 2009;
“The Knight of the Profession”, 2010; an honorable
doctor of the University of Warsaw, 2010.
