It is based on the oldest well-preservedcity book (1386 - 1399) and tax registers from the years 1482, 1489, 1490 and 1393. The paperhas the nature of the introduction into the craft production in the town. We would be betteraware after the examination of the statutes of the butchers’, shoemakers’ and tailors’ guildsand tax registers from the second half of the 16th century.Key words: burgess, craft-guild, the Middle Ages, city, productionContact: Univerzita Mateja Bela, Banská Bystrica, Slovensko; liskova@fhv.umb.sk***Prostredníctvom nasledujúceho príspevku sa pokúsime načrtnúť charakternajstaršej remeselnej výroby v Banskej Bystrici – významnom uhorskomstredovekom banskom meste. Pokúsime sa o identifikáciu jednotlivých remeselníckychodvetví, v rámci ktorých si budeme všímať počty remeselníkova zmienky o existencii najstarších cechov.Pramenná základňa ku skúmanej problematike je pomerne úzka. Až nazopár jednotlivín sa obmedzuje na: 1) najstaršiu mestskú knihu, pochádzajúcuz rokov 1386–1399 2 a 2) účtovné knihy mesta z rokov 1482, 1489, 1490 a 1493. 31 Príspevok vznikol s podporou grantového projektu VEGA 1/4541/07 – Osídlenie zvolenskejkotliny od včasného stredoveku do ½ 19. stol.2 Ide iba o torzo alebo fragment tejto knihy.
