We redesigned the wellness area with the small outdoor pool and<br />

the three different saunas. Aside from that we also built a new<br />

conservatory that reflects the Gasthof Post’s original architecture.<br />

The kitchen and 40 guest rooms are all new, too.<br />

L.L. The n<strong>am</strong>e was changed, too, the word “Après” was<br />

added. This seemingly small change hints at a new market<br />

orientation of the f<strong>am</strong>ily-run hotel. What’s behind all this?<br />

T.B. Before the renovations we thought a lot about: how<br />

do we want to position ourselves? What are the main points<br />

of focus in our house? During our research we realised that<br />

there are more than 200 post hotels in Austria. And in order<br />

to stand out a little bit we went in search for a new n<strong>am</strong>e.<br />

Which is how, after careful consideration, we c<strong>am</strong>e up with<br />

the “Après”, one the one hand because it’s the time “after”<br />

the old post and “after” the Fritz f<strong>am</strong>ily which ran the house<br />

for decades. And “après” also stand for the moments after a<br />

skiing or hiking day that our guests can enjoy with us –<br />

while enjoying their spa progr<strong>am</strong>me or food. That makes
