A new dimension in fit,
protection and comfort
Feet need space – but not too much and not too little: A
shoe has to be roomy enough for comfort, but fit snugly
for support. Designing boots with the best possible fit is
one of the most challenging tasks for boot manufacturers.
In the quest for the „Grail of the perfect fit“ Gore made a
remarkable step forward. The innovative GORE-TEX 3D fit
footwear technology enables sock-like fit to be paired with
waterproof, breathable comfort and protection. “With
GORE-TEX 3D fit footwear, consumers get a shoe that
more effectively contours to the shape of their foot, and
manufacturers get a technology that is easy to integrate
into existing footwear designs,” says Silke Kemmerling,
Product Specialist at Gore.
GORE-TEX 3D fit footwear will enable manufacturers to
have access to a waterproof breathable insert, offering
seamless comfort in a lightweight stretchy material that
can be used in a variety of lighter-weight athletic and
lifestyle shoes. Shoes featuring the new technology will
be available beginning in February 2019 manufactured
and marketed by GORE brand partners Salomon with their
custom made S/LAB ME:sh GTX 3D FIT shoe, finetuned
personalization working in 4 ways: anatomically,
biomechanically, your practice and your taste and Adidas
with the Terrex Agravic Speed GTX. It is made for long
runs. This is a shoe that provides a new level of comfort
on the trails and controls wet ground with a leading
Continental outsole. The light construct (275 g) and a thick
midsole ensure you go harder for longer.
